Adeline Carter’s How Biohacking Can Improve Your Energy and Focus

Adeline Carter used to hit a wall by 2 p.m. every day. “I was dragging through the afternoons, no matter how much coffee I drank,” she says. That changed when she discovered biohacking — and used it to upgrade her energy and focus naturally.

Biohacking is the art and science of optimizing your body and mind through small, strategic lifestyle tweaks. It can include everything from diet changes and sleep tracking to cold showers and nootropics.

“For me, it started with tracking my sleep,” Adeline explains. “I realized I wasn’t getting enough deep rest, even if I slept eight hours.” She began using a wearable sleep tracker and adjusted her bedtime routine. “Within a week, my brain fog lifted.”

Other biohacks she swears by: intermittent fasting, blue-light-blocking glasses at night, and a morning walk in sunlight. “The sun exposure resets my circadian rhythm and gives me a natural energy boost,” she says.

Science backs up many of these practices. Morning sunlight helps regulate melatonin production. Cold exposure can increase alertness. And mindfulness meditation, another popular hack, has been shown to improve attention span and emotional control.

According to wellness expert Dr. Rina Miles, “Biohacking isn’t about high-tech gadgets. It’s about knowing your body and making intentional changes.”

Adeline keeps things simple. “I don’t do anything extreme,” she says. “It’s just small shifts that stack up over time.” Now, her energy lasts all day — no coffee required.
