Delphina Wake’s Heart-Healthy Breakfasts with Good Fats

Delphina Wake is a believer in breakfast. Not just any breakfast—but one packed with good fats that love your heart back. “I think of it as building a strong foundation,” she says. “When your first meal is nourishing, your whole day shifts.”

Delphina wasn’t always this way. In her twenties, she skipped breakfast often and felt constantly fatigued. But after a borderline cholesterol test at 32, she decided to get serious. “I didn’t want to go on medication if I didn’t have to,” she recalls. So she turned to food—specifically, monounsaturated and omega-3-rich ingredients.

Her go-to breakfast now? Avocado toast with flaxseed and a poached egg. On alternate days, she whips up chia pudding with walnuts and berries, or a smoothie bowl with almond butter and hemp seeds.

These meals aren’t just good for your cholesterol—they’re filling, too. “Once I started eating like this, I wasn’t ravenous at 10 a.m. anymore,” she laughs.

Her approach focuses on balance rather than restriction. “I still enjoy food—I just choose ingredients that love me back.”

With her rising presence on social media, Delphina now inspires others to eat with heart health in mind. “Your plate can be colorful, satisfying, and good for your arteries,” she says with a smile.
