Costco Just Recall a Popular Brand of Protein Bars—Here’s What to Know

Based on their recall website, Costco just declared a recall on a variety pack of protein bars.One This results from an undisclosed allergy in the product.

Recalled NuGo branded protein bars come in an 18-count variety pack and taste Dark Chocolate Pretzel and Dark Chocolate Chip. Sales of the recalled packs ranged from October 2, 2024, through November 20, 2024 in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Vermont as well as Washington, D.C.

Lot number B24235A, B24235B, B24236A or C24236A printed on the box corresponds to the best-by date of December 22, 2025, or December 23, 2025, of the impacted protein bars.

Although the box says these bars are vegan, the product could include undeclared dairy. Those with allergies or dairy intolerance could react after eating one of these protein bars. In severe situations, this can include anaphylaxis, presenting hives, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, constriction of the throat or cardiac arrest. Immediately contact 911 if you display symptoms of anaphylactic shock.
