The U.S. Food & Drug Administration reports active recall on a small quantity of Lay’s Potato Chips.01 This results from an undeclared allergen.
Lay’s Classic Potato Chips’ 13-ounce bags might have milk, a frequent allergy, and the recall was declared following a consumer complaint. Along with being marketed online, these mislabeled bags were sold at Oregon and Washington retail stores. The recalled chips had manufacture code “6462307xx,” a guaranteed-fresh date of February 11, 2025, and UPC of “28400 310.”
Frito-Lay is advising you to throw your chips right away if they match the recalled information. For possible refund information, you can also reach Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-800-352-4477 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.
Those with a milk allergy or sensitivity could react unintentionally from consuming this product. This covers responses as severe as anaphylaxis, which can produce hives, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, constriction of the throat, difficulty breathing, and cardiac arrest.Twice Immediately contact 911 if you display symptoms of an allergic reaction.
This recall has no effect on any other variations of Lay’s potato chip products.
