Losing fat is about eating wisely not only about consuming less. Certified nutrition coach Gabrielle Parker swears on low-carb meal prep to keep her body running while dropping extra weight. “Making it convenient is the toughest aspect of eating well,” she notes. Meal planning helps me to stay on schedule, save time and money.
Why Low-Carb?
Cutting less on refined carbohydrates helps balance blood sugar levels, therefore lowering cravings and maintaining energy levels all through the day. She says, “It’s not about avoiding carbohydrates totally.” “I just pay attention to the right ones—nutrient-dense, fiber-rich choices that keep me full longer.”
The Meal Prep Routine
Gabrielle plans her meals on Sundays. She spends several hours cooking basic, savory foods she can combine and match all around the week. She laughs, “I dislike complicated recipes.” “I most likely won’t make it if it takes more than half-hour.”
Her regular dinners include avocado egg salad wrapped in lettuce, zucchini noodles prepared with homemade pesto, and grilled chicken with roasted vegetables. She chooses cauliflower rice or mashed pumpkin rather than rice or pasta as they satisfy her equally without adding extra carbohydrates.
“I always make sure my meals are balanced—lean protein, good fats, and loads of fibers. I stay full in that sense without feeling deprived. She also includes snacks in her regimen. On hand are hard-boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, and almonds. That helps me not grab processed garbage when I’m hungry.
Sustainable and Satisfying
Gabrielle’s method is flexible unlike rigid diets that cause frustration. “I create a low-carb variation of anything decadent if I’m hankering after it. I then don’t feel as though I’m missing anything.
Meal planning for her is about establishing a habit rather than only helping with weight loss. Planning ahead helps you to position yourself for success. And the best thing about it? You already have ready to go; you have not to consider what to eat every single day.
Gabrielle shows that low-carb eating doesn’t have to be monotonous or time-consuming with her straightforward but powerful plan. It’s mostly about choosing wisely that would fit your way of life.
