For Isadora White, weight loss was more about prior planning than about adhering to a rigorous diet. Her secret weapon turned out to be meal prep, which let her stay on target free from anxiety by eating sensible, regulated amounts.
“Before I started meal prep, I would grab whatever was convenient, usually not the healthiest option,” Isadora explains. “I no longer have to rely on last-minute decisions since I always have healthy meals ready.”
Her first piece of advice is Ahead of time, schedule your meals. She sits down every Sunday to choose what she will eat for the next week, ensuring that her meals feature lean protein, plenty of veggies high in fibre, and good fats.
She then batch-cooks quinoa, roasted veggies, and grilled chicken among basic foods. “Having these basics ready helps you easily mix and match meals over the week,” she says.
Still another important consideration is portion control. Meal prep containers allow Isadora to split her food into sensible quantities. “When everything is pre-portioned, I don’t oveeat or snack mindlessly,” she notes.
She also gets ready with healthy foods including Greek yoghurt with nuts, hummus with sliced vegetables, or cooked eggs. “I’m less likely to grab processed snacks when I have good options right on hand,” she says.
Isadora feels more in control of her eating patterns and has easily dropped weight since including meal preparation into her schedule. “It’s about setting you up for success, not about being perfect,” she explains.
Her recommendations? Start modest. One or two meals ahead preparation can also significantly impact things. Knowing she is always ready to eat well, Isadora now enjoys her cuisine free from the pressure of last-minute selections.
