Zinnia Crey’s Clean Eating Breakfasts You’ll Love

For Zinnia Crey, mornings are sacred. She believes how you start your day shapes everything that follows, and her clean eating breakfasts are a testament to that philosophy.

A few years ago, Zinnia used to grab pastries and sugary coffee on her way to work. It gave her a quick rush of energy, but by mid-morning, she’d crash—both mentally and physically.

That’s when she decided to experiment with clean eating, focusing on unprocessed, nutrient-rich foods. Today, her breakfasts look more like a wellness magazine spread. Some mornings, she blends spinach, banana, almond milk, and chia seeds into a thick green smoothie that keeps her full until lunch. On cooler days, she might opt for warm oatmeal topped with blueberries, pumpkin seeds, and a swirl of almond butter.

“I want my food to nourish me, not just fill me,” Zinnia says. By avoiding added sugars and processed ingredients, she noticed a remarkable boost in her energy levels. Her skin cleared up, her focus sharpened, and even her mood improved. She emphasizes that clean eating isn’t about restriction—it’s about connection. “When you eat real food, you start to feel real energy.”

Her advice to anyone looking to change their breakfast habits is simple: start small, and make one swap at a time. Replace sugary cereals with homemade granola or choose whole-grain toast with avocado over a muffin. Soon, you’ll look forward to your mornings as much as she does.
