Naomi Lane’s High-Fiber Meal Prep Ideas for Better Digestion

Meal prep aficionant and nutritionist Naomi Lane understands the need of fibre for digestive health. “A high-fiber diet not only keeps your gut happy but also supports generally well-being,” she says.

Her meal prep ideas help you easily include more fibre into your everyday diet whether your goals are better digestion, weight management, or energy level increase.

Breakfast: Oatmeal Power Bowl

Naomi has a muesli dish high in fibres first thing in morning. “Oats are loaded in soluble fibre, which helps control digestion and prolongs fullness,” she says. She makes overnight oats with berries, flaxseeds, and chia seeds. “Berries offer antioxidants; chia and flaxseeds supply additional omega-3s and fibre. It benefits both of us.

Lunch: Quinoa & Chickpea Salad

Naomi makes a fresh vegetable- laden quinoa and chickpea salad for lunch. “An outstanding source of fibre and a complete protein is quinoa. Chickpeas keep you full and provide additional bulk, she explains. For a cool, nutrient-dense dinner she tosses them with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and a lemon-tahini dressing.

Snack: Apple & Almond Butter

Naomi counsels, “Snacking smart is key.” Sliced apple with almond butter is her go-to fiber-packed treat. “Apple fibre is insoluble and helps digestion; almond butter offers good fats and protein.” For a quick, fiber-rich meal, she also loves homemade energy balls created with dates, oats, and almonds.

Dinner: Lentil & Vegetable Stir-Fry

Dinner is about harmony. Naomi gets brown rice and prepares a substantial lentil and veggie stir-fry. “Lentils are among the best sources of protein and fibre available from plants,” she explains. She sautéed them bell peppers, zucchini, and garlic, then drizzled tamari sauce for taste.

Hydration & Gut Health

Beyond only fibre, Naomi stresses water. She says, “drinking plenty of water helps fibre do its job by keeping everything moving smoothly.” She also supports gut health with fermented foods as yoghurt and kimchi.
