Tara West’s Anti-Inflammatory Mediterranean Soups for Weight Loss

Tara West found great advantages of an anti-inflammatory Mediterranean diet when starting her path towards wellbeing.

Her weapon of choice is covert. Fresh veggies, lean meats, and aromatic spices abound in soups. Tara says, “Soups are not only comforting but also a fantastic approach to pack nutrients into one meal while keeping it light.”

She loves Lemon Lentil Soup among other things. Red lentils, garlic, onion, celery, and a spritz of fresh lemon juice abound in this recipe.

“Lentils are high in protein and fiber, which keep you feeling full without the extra calories,” Tara says. While turmeric, noted for its anti-inflammatory qualities, gives the soup a golden hue, the lemon lends a tart flavor.

Her Roasted Tomato and Red Pepper Soup is another much used recipe. Laughing, Tara exclaims, “It’s like a bowl of sunshine.” Cooking the tomatoes and peppers roasts their inherent sweetness. For a smokey depth of taste, she combines them with olive oil, garlic, and a little of paprika. “You have a great meal for weight loss if you pair it with a slice of whole-grain bread.”

These Mediterranean-inspired soups support a smaller, healthier you in addition to being rather good. Tara underlines the need of choosing fresh, healthy ingredients. Your body will thank you, she notes.
