Years ago, she started experimenting with whole, unprocessed foods, which set off her clean eating trip. Her Green Goddess Smoothie, which combines kale, spinach, green apple, and a dash of almond milk, is among her most often used recipes.
She laughs and compares it to drinking pure energy. It also boasts plenty of vitamins and antioxidants.
Lily usually eats a Nourish Bowl for lunch comprising quinoa, roasted vegetables, chickpeas, and a drizz of tahini sauce. She says, “It’s vibrant, full, and loaded with immune-boosting nutrients.”
Lily also stresses the need of quality sleep and drinking enough of fluids. “Your body does so much repair while you sleep,” she notes. “Pair that with appropriate hydration; you are preparing your immune system for success.
Her view is that clean eating is a way of life rather than a diet. “Pay more attention to what you could add to your meals than on what you should cut out,” she counsels.
